Privacy

Well Diced is built to do useful work with as little of your data as possible. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and who else is involved.

What we collect

  • When you search for recipes — we use the ingredient text you type to find matching recipes. We don't store your searches.
  • When you contact us — the contact form sends your name, email, subject, and message to our inbox. We keep these for as long as we need to respond to you.
  • When you visit the site — we count anonymous pageviews via Plausible. No cookies, no IP storage, no personal data.

What we don't collect

No accounts, no logins, no persistent user IDs. We don't use cookies. We don't track you across other sites.

Third-party services

To run Well Diced we use:

  • Edamam — recipe data. We send your ingredient list to their API to retrieve matching recipes. Their “Powered by Edamam” badge appears in our footer.
  • Plausible — privacy-focused analytics. No cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking.
  • A third-party language-model service — to normalize your ingredient text and generate short recipe notes. We send the text you type, but no identifying information about you.
  • A third-party email-delivery service — to deliver contact form submissions to our inbox.

If we change providers in any of these categories, we'll update this page.

Your rights

If you have a question about your data or want us to delete a contact form submission you sent, reach out via the Contact page.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we collect or use data, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For minor wording fixes, we won't.
